Casa Playa Maya is a wonderful Beachfront Villa located about halfway between Tulum and Akumal, Mexico on the Riviera Maya. It is just 90 minutes south of Cancun.
Located on tranquil Soliman Bay, it boasts a private setting directly on quiet Soliman Bay. Yet it is not entirely isolated, as there are a number of neighboring houses along the beach AND A restaurant a walk away.
The main 2 bedroom casa and the 2 adjoining casitas can sleep up to 16 people.
Casa Playa Maya is full of sun and light. Large sliding-glass doors lead to a covered patio right on the beach. Sunlight streams in many large windows. Yet the traditional Mayan architectural structure blends in to this wonderful piece of Caribbean Mexico.
The Main House:
The two level main beach house centers on a circular design facing the sea. It is housed under a beautiful traditional “palapa” or grass roof which provides a cool and pleasant feel to the interior. The main house streams with light and sea breezes via the seven large screened sliding glass windows which wrap around the ocean side of Casa Playa Maya.
Main House (comfortabely sleeps 6 guests but we do have additional sleeping facilities for 6 more adults)
Bedroom #1: First level, king bed, air conditioning, private bath, private terrace.
Bedroom #2: Second level, king bed, air conditioning, private bath, private terrace.
Loft: Two single beds (can be made up as a king)
The Casitas:
Also located on the property is the two story structure which houses the “casitas”. Complete studio units on the first and and second levels. Each casita has a small well equipped kitchen area, breakfast bar, private bath and is air conditioned. The casitas are furnished with queen beds, ceiling fans, a small dining table and sitting chairs. These are perfect for large groups. A place where everyone can be together, and at the end of the day, spread out and enjoy their privacy.
Note: Casitas cannot be booked as separate units
Casitas only available to book in addition to the house.
During Christmass and New Year week the whole facility must be rented.

How can you beat waking up to the sound of soothing waves while in the company of the rising sun? Add a cup of joe in your hand, soft powder sand beneath your feet & warm water brushing each step you take. Coffee will never be the same again!! I just love that Casa Playa Maya is right in the middle of the bay. The main house is simply beautiful, very cozy & well kept. The rooms & bathrooms are spacious & immaculate. I had my own TV/DVD, microwave, toaster, mini fridge & coffee maker. Although who needs a TV with paradise outside? I felt like I was kayaking and snorkeling in my own private beach. There is also an amazing restaurant, Sahara, on the bay. You can drive there in less than five minutes or opt for the scenic route via your feet & sand through their beachfront entrance. Tulum and Akumal are only a few minutes away. I recommend renting a vespa to see the ruins. FUN!! The staff was exceptional. They were very welcoming & accomodating. They made my stay that much more special and my leaving that much harder. No doubt the most relaxing vacation I've ever had. Now that I know all this exists in one place, I will be back every year. Already began assembling a group for 2011. Looking forward to returning. Thank you very much Bill!
